Great Italian Food! I live nearby to this restaurant, and whenever we think Italian food, this place is high (if not first) on the list. Right in the heart of Somerville, the location is great, since we often come from an event right in town. The prices are good and the food is great! They give you good portion sizes too. Any of the pizzas are good, as well as the penne vodka and lasagna!
great food, reasonable prices Alfonso's is a great casual Italian restaurant. Their food is delicious but their policies could be a little less stringent. For example, they have half price pasta nights on Monday nights, but you must use cash, and you must each purchase a drink (can be a soft drink). By the same token, make sure you read the terms of any other coupons before you go. Great place for Delicious Italian! The food at Alfonso's is always wonderful!! The prices are very reasonable with HUGE portions! I have never ordered anything I didn't love! Definitely one of my favorite Italian places. We even had a surprise party upstairs for my Mom and it was fabulous!! They were very accomodating and everyone enjoyed the food and had a great time!! I would definitely reccommend this restaurant for a big Italian meal or even for a banquet or party!!
Great food! IMO, this place have awesome food! They even make a great sangria. This place gets packed, especially in the Summer so go early. Somerville has alot of car shows and a nice shopping so this is a great place to have lunch or dinner while enjoying other activities.
Overrated and bland. Every food dripping in oil.
Horrible!! Went there on a Saturday night..they were almost empty. the food was bad! The appetizer, Clams oreganata was very salty. I had the tortellini primavera with chicken. The chicken had bones in the little pieces!! The tomatoes were sour. When i informed the waitress, she said she would inform the people in the kitchen. They still charged me for the food and no one came out to address my complaints. I wound up with food poisoning from that food! Excellent food & great service – I am the owner of ABC Physical Therapy & Hand Therapy Somerville NJ and have been going to Alfonso's for lunch & dinner for over 7 years & tell all my patients and friends to eat at Alfonso's because the food is great and the service is excellent, I have NEVER had a bad meal at Alfonso's so I rate them a 10+ or a Five Star.
