My friend and I were using her Pizza Passport and drove from St. Charles City, to Alfano's to check it out. Amazing and unexpected bruchetta, with fresh Basil, Buffalo Mozzarella, tomatoes, balsamic. Then, the pizza had plenty of fresh ingredients (pepperoni, beef, banana peppers) yummy sauce, and perfect crust. Very generous and attentive staff too! M friend and I found this gem from the Pizza Passport. We had no idea what to expect but the pizza was delicious! They use Mozzarella cheese, which I prefer and I believe it’s a hand tossed pizza. The owner and staff were so friendly and kind. There are only a couple tables as most people probably take it to go or delivery, but we ate there and didn’t feel rushed. We also had a really great tomato and fresh mozzarella app with toasted bread and sauce that the owner gave us. I highly recommend Alfano!
