In a word, AMAZING! I met with Dr. Grucela about 2 years ago to discuss a potential surgical need. At that time I wasn't quite a candidate...but was left with an interesting (initial) impression: a surgeon who is not eager to cut. However...presently I am but a few days out of the hospital (Northern Westchester) having had a major "fix" to eliminate my acute diverticulosis. Very professional and caring surgeon. Had colon surgery with no complications and recovered completely.very easy to talk to...staff was great
Don't setup an appointment with this doctor. Setup an appointment on a friday, their earliest appointment was the following thursday at 3pm, I quickly made the appointment. The tuesday after the office called to reschedule because the Dr had to leave at noon. I agreed to an early appointment at 11:30am. The office than called again on Wednesday morning at 8am laughed at me that the office staff that made the new appointment was wrong, being diagnosed on friday with cancer, I found nothing amusing about this.
