My experience with Dr. Balstad was deeply disappointing. I came to Avista seeking answers for severe pelvic pain and possible hormone imbalance. At my first visit, she seemed irritated and told me to wait a year and try pelvic floor therapy. I returned a year later, worse, and was told, “I could take you to the OR now, but don’t be surprised if you come out sobbing because I didn’t find anything.” I was horrified.
