This was my first time going here for an emergency with my cat that turned out to be nothing more than an onset of a cold, thankfully. I didnt have to wait very long and came in after 10pm on a Wednesday night. Wonderful place. So clean and nice inside. Everyone was very professional. Even all the guests late at night were so nice and kind. You could really feel the love everyone has for the welfare of all the animals that come through their front door. Alexandria Veterinary hos these reviews are all pre-2009. my experiences are 2009: at first, they were good, but slowly it has become very suspect. the service is just par and I have, due to frequent moves, seen 6 vets over the past 10 years to include 4 in virginia, another in norther VA. by far, the worst I have experienced interms of attitude, process, and price. they also charge for the shot records when time to live, yeah, for that piece of paper with some print on it, they want $20. if you are looking for a pretty buil... read more
Great people I had gone to other Vets in the area before, but when my husband and I got our new puppy we decided to take her the Alexandria Animal hospital.My husband has been taking his two dogs there before we got married. I have to say I was impressed. They love the animals that come in there. While there isn't really enough parking, it's not too hard to find a spot. they care The vets here care about your pets because they truly love animals! They keep appointments but are still able to handle emergencies. I am glad our community has a place like this.
We have been taking our dog here for a few years and weve only had good experiences. The vets are very friendly and compasionate towards our dog. You can tell they love what they do. The only thing they need to work on is the waiting time. Everytime I make an afternoon or evening appointment, I usually end up waiting 30-45 minutes before the vet sees our dog. I can tell they are very busy and probably just fall behind schedule. Try to shoot for the morning appointments!
Friday 28 Dec. 2005- 11.30PM - The service was fast and proffessional. The docs made a very heartful impressio ( I only saw three female Docs, who have often more feeling for the patients). The atmosphere was very nice and familiar. I guess they do a great job there. What I missed was to be able to be with my dog during the tests.
