Hard Times Cafe Alexandria is top notch. @Clarke - Obviously has some sort of beef with this place. The Original Hard Times is great. You're not going there because it's a high end five start restaurant, you're going there for good chili, and a down home vibe. This place is top notch.
worst place I have ever been to Is the Alexandria Health Department on the take? How is thi splace still open? Fred Parker the cheapo penny pinching miser owner hasn't spent a dime onthe place since it opened. He certainly doesn't waste any money on cleaning supplies. The place smells like a dumpster when you walk through the door. It is disgusting. Those pots on the stove haven't seen a brillo pad in 10 years.
