The doctors here are good and when you get to the office you typically don't wait too long. The health system is broken and they do their best and seem to actually care. Staff is an enormous issue though. It's impossible to get through on the phone. I have never waited on hold for less than 15 minutes. Today, I called three times and waited on hold for 15 minutes each time. And each time, when I got to the front of the line they picked up and hung up on me. Dr Parker is a good doctor but his staff is objectionable. It is next to impossible to get an appointment (waited over 21 minutes on the phone just to speak to someone) and when you finally get through to reception, they treat you like garbage. I was told he was working from home and I would have to call back! STAY AWAY from this group unless you like being treated poorly.
When I started looking for a family doctor many years ago I was surprised by the lack of compassion and care most doctors showed. Then I was so lucky to come across the Alexandra Medical Clinic and doctor Parker. I have been so blessed to have found doctor Parker. He is the most caring physician I have ever encountered. His dedication and bedside manners are light years ahead of any other doctor, I have seen in my lifetime so far. Dr Ahmed is an incredible doctor. She is kind, compassionate & very skilled. She really listens & is wise in both physical & psychological ailments, while will readily refer patients to other excellent specialists. She has obviously networked effectively to find the top of their fields for referrals. In the limited time she’s allowed by AHS to see individual patients she quickly accesses priorities of care, but is very conscientious to follow up & arrange additional appointments if she feels a need to monitor a condition. Absolutely pathetic customer skills. I just walked in to enquire about seeing a doctor and the girl with the glasses behind the counter couldn't care less that I was even there. I could barely understand what she was saying, but that's not what the problem is. I felt like I shouldn't have even have come in. This is a rude horrible place, don't waste your time
