Dr. Meyer charged me $167 for answering “how are you doing” after my physical. After conducting my annual physical (which does not include bloodwork so just a series of questions), Dr. Meyer asked me, "so how are you doing". I let him know how I had a migraine that day and my acid reflux was acting up. We spoke for about 20 seconds on this. Dr. Meyer then charged me $167 for this “consultation” because I spoke about ailments outside of my physical. Dr. Meyer's office refused to remove the charges. I wanted to get on a medication called PrEP to greatly decrease the chance of me getting HIV. He told me there was no need and I could just be cured if I contracted it… I switched Dr offices right after that. Preventative care shouldn’t be dismissed. It’s very expensive to treat HIV to maybe he wanted to extend that care for more money? I don’t know… and I don’t care to find out.
