A few years ago I did a group class with Lauren and learned a lot. Recently I booked a few lessons because of chronic neck pain. She is thoughtful, observant, professional, very knowledgable, and easy to work with. My neck pain has completely subsided. The work we did and the techniques I’m employing have made a huge difference! Thanks Lauren!

Lauren listens, to your body, to your words. I sought Lauren's help regarding my great concerns with balance, resulting from a back that is bent. I am 78, and I feel unstable and fear falling. Lauren met me where I am. She helped me better understand balance and gave me an idea, for example, about how to self-correct the tendency to keep my feet too close together. She acknowledged my arriving with cane, and included the use of a cane in the session. Finally, we revisited things I had learned in earlier beneficial work with ... read more

I saw Lauren today at her new studio and was not only impressed with her studio but all I learned from Lauren! It was fascinating to learn the history of Alexander Technique. Lauren explained movements with visuals and then had me get up from a chair and with her cues without back pain! Stopping and rethinking how to properly use my joints was so helpful! I highly recommend Lauren for her outstanding knowledge and smiling face!

I studied with Lauren Hill on a regular basis while I was doing my doctorate in voice performance. My lessons with her always opened new doors of understanding of how I use my body and mind, and they were an invaluable part of my approach to performing. Lauren is organized, professional, an excellent communicator, and really understands how to break down and convey complex topics clearly. Her hands-on work is top notch. Alexander Technique has been so valuable to me that I am now training to become an AT teacher myself so I ... read more

Lauren is an excellent teacher of the Alexander technique. I particularly value her clear, direct style of communication. Of all the Alexander teachers I've worked with, she most consistently balances the physical work with outstanding and effective descriptive suggestions. I've learned so much from working with her. And she's got a great sense of humor, too!
