I recently had a scary bowl blockage that required a ten day stay at OU Med in Edmond. Dr Raines did my bowel blockage surgery flawlessly. He was kind and compassionate and he SAW me. He made me feel safe and he walked me through everything pre and post surgery. When I was finally released from the hospital he came in on his day off just to discharge me and make me feel comfortable about leaving. Port insertion went smoothly but although the doctor and nurses were well aware that the port would be used less than 24 hrs later for labs and chemo, they didn’t prescribe any numbing cream. Neither did they advise us to ask the oncologist for a prescription for numbing cream if Dr. Raines wasn’t going to prescribe any. Having the needle inserted for labs was excruciatingly painful and unnecessarily so. Dr. Raines did my hernia surgery in June of 2024. He was very professional and genuinely cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him. I was also pleased that he did the less invasive robotic surgery. I was referred to him by Dr. Cookson, another surgeon that performed my prostate removal. These two are as good as they come and with outstanding results. Thanks!

The best surgeon and surgical team I've ever met. There is a culture of excellence that (almost) makes me wish I had another surgery to go through the process again.
