I live 3 hours away in Hampton Rds. My story is LONG so I won't get into all of that now. What I will say is this doctor and his staff , especially his nurse Michelle , are truly the best providers and medical team I have ever experienced in my lifetime. He is always on top of what is going on with my situation which is quite involved. He truly cares about me and how my situation is affecting my life. Dr. Podboy saved my life. I had gastric bypass in 2021. I had my gallbladder out on August 7th, 2023 & my surgeon damaged my bile duct. I ruptured 5 days later & was near death. I had 2 emergency surgeries at my local Richmond hospital but they couldn't find the leak & I was getting worse. They contacted Dr. Podboy & he said he could fix me so I was transferred to UVA.
