Absolutely shocking service. Both myself and my landlord agreed on the deposit over a month ago, and I submitted the request through the tenancy deposit scheme. A completely mediocre yet acceptable experience throughout, unfortunately soured by a manipulative and dishonest checkout experience with H Shaw. The vast majority of raised disputes in our checkout TDS report for the deposit on our rented property were false/invented, hundreds of pounds worth of issues that have been present at the property throughout our tenancy were attempted to be blamed and charged on us. I recently rented a property through Alexander & Co and had an extremely disappointing experience, particularly dealing with Jack. From the start, communication was poor. I had to chase him almost every day—emails went unanswered, and phone calls were rarely returned. On the rare occasions I did manage to speak with him, he promised to call back with updates but never followed through. I've been very, pleased with all my interactions with this company and my property was sold within a few weeks, as they said it would be. It was sold under asking price quite significantly, however, the buyer priced up works required to modernise and this seem fair and I was happy with the price offered.

Absolutely the most incompetent and disorganised letting team I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Reaching them by phone is nearly impossible, and on the rare occasion you do get through, all you’ll receive are empty promises and zero follow-through. A special mention goes to Jack, whose complete lack of professionalism directly contributed to me missing out on a property.
