Dr Perez's office called and canceled my appointment, his assistant said there was no need for the appointment as I had already been passed off to the pulmonologist. Dr Perez is very good at what he does and he takes time to hear you.

I had some initial issues with Dr. Perez's staff, specifically with Terry and 2 of their office assistants. They simply did not follow through or pay attention to the details of our visits. I had to pursue other options. After getting Chris McCann (the office manager) and Dr. Perez's attention, my experience completely changed. I came to Dr. Perez's office about 2 years ago and initially dealt with Terry. I came determined to get my heart issue resolved, after dealing with severe symptoms for over 10yrs. When Terry did not follow-through with our first conversation, I went to the Idaho Health board and immediately started looking for options outside of Idaho, simply because my experience with cardiologists in Idaho was very poor. The staff was supposed to call and approve a heart monitor before they gave it to me but they didn't. This new machine isn't covered by blue shield/blue cross so instead of paying nothing for it, I'm stuck with the full bill! Even knowing it was their fault they are making no attempt to fix it. If you can't trust your doctor to approve services with your insurance, how do you trust them at all?
