Dr. Barrera is an amazing doctor! He accepted me as a patient when everyone else turned me away due to my age/history of miscarriages and was extremely supportive of my journey to try and conceive. He referred me to fertility clinic and when I finally became pregnant he took great care of me. He saw me often, answered all questions I had, reassured me when I was feeling anxious with NST and even helped me with workplace accommodations so I could continue to work despite my high risk pregnancy. This one star review has nothing to do with Dr. Barrera who I think is an amazing doctor who took care of me during and after my miscarriage and D&C. I have no complaints about him whatsoever. However, I currently am pregnant again & been having issues since I found out. The ladies in the front do not answer the phones , I was recently admitted into the hospital and told to try to get an earlier appointment. Best doctor ever! He’s been helping me a lot through my pregnancy!
My sister saw this doctor and he dismissed her, belittled her and ignored her requests. He treated her as just another number. Absolutely no care or concern for her. He and his staff should not be in the business of delivering babies.
*They called, mentioned they read this and dropped me as a client* I’m very disappointed, upset, and now looking for another obgyn at 39 weeks. I switched over to Barrera October 1st. I had a few appointments with him where we basically just said hello and do I have any questions because they were waiting for previous records from the first obgyn I switched from.
