Yes, waste by people that don't care. But to a CDT hiker, they filter the water and drink mucho gusto.
Way too popular. Water was pretty gross and tons of "human waste" everywhere.
Not a mild hike, very aggressive like Table Mountain, even with boots fell many times from loose trail, horse manure, but if you are into that type of torture then you'll love it... lakes are quite disgusting, don't plan on even touching the water though, as you will no doubt get sick from them... If you are from a big city, probably look at Red Fish rather than these lakes...
Pretty but mossy when we went. (Fall) Hike is uphill the whole way. But not bad.
Lovely quiet, easy trail.
