The kayak trip is very good. Camping is not and the people that run the place are unfriendly. Won't be back
The owners are an absolute charm. Top notch service. Kind, friendly, informative people. The AuSable is such a beautiful river, Mother Nature at her finest!
Have camped here 3 years in a row now and have rented a kayak to traverse a section of the Au Sable River, and had such a good time!
Alcona Canoe Rental Campground is THE BEST!😎 We've been making the trip here for years and years! A phenomenal experience every time! The AuSable River is a natural treasure that we can't get enough of. The owners go out of their way to accommodate all campers' needs. They seem to do everything with a smile and a laugh, which really enhances one's experience. If you're a nature lover, this is THE place to stay and paddle/float one of, if not the most beautiful rivers in the world💯😎.
I have been going to Alcona canoe and campground for years now , it is by far the best. Everyone there is so kind and accommodating and the cabins are always clean. Everything you need or could want is at there store. Tubing there is a great experience also, staff is always so helpful from the bus to the river, they always make sure you are taken care of. Thanks for all you do Chanda & Jim.
