I have lived in this area for over 30 years. This store is but a pale shadow of it's former self. The owners have cheapened it, they now have Christian books, and fluffy bunny Wicca things. I knew this store and it's origins, not what it used to be at all.
I have lived in chicago for about 5 years now and am always looking for occult shops and the like. I have found one among many that stands out and that is Alchemy Arts on Bryn Mawr and Broadway. it is "the occult shop" this little store in a cornicopia of knowledge, supplies, and networking oppertunities, as well as the hot spot for lectures and classes in paganism and the occult.
