Sever abdominal pain and told to stand in the hallway even though half the seat are empty. No compassion plus rude. I asked “Why do I have to stand in the hallway can’t I sit over there” pointing to the empty 20 seats in 2 areas. He answered back “wait in the hallway for the lab to call you. RUDE and no logic to waiting in hallway when there are empty seats.
I am currently sitting here for 18 minutes and 1 person was called in and has not had her blood drawn as of yet. The board is showing people that have been here since 7:16am still waiting to be called. I feel this place is very short staffed as this is not the first time I’ve been here and then walked out due to no movement on the walk in/ wait time board.
Everyone working the morning of Tuesday, Feb 17 from the front guy, to the guy who gave me my glucose drink & some short older woman running around the clinic seemed to be in a really bad mood/cranky/pretty rude actually with everyone who showed up for lab work, except the lovely guy who took my blood for my GD test (unsure of his name, he had some facial piercings tho) and was super polite and chatty and made the experience better. Probably would get my bloodwork done elsewhere from here on out.
I had my blood work done at Alberta Avenue Medical Clinic, and I had a very positive experience. The lab technician was gentle and professional, and the receptionist was kind and welcoming. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the visit. Highly recommend this clinic!
