I had a very frustrating experience at Alberta Lab downtown. The staff member assisting me (lady with curly hair and 70s/80s-style glasses) insisted I needed a printed requisition for my blood work, even after I clearly showed her that my doctor sent it through the MyChart app. Instead of listening, she doubled down and said “not a lot of doctors use it,” which is completely inaccurate. Health workers in this area are very friendly. The place is clean and tidy.

They had approx 60 minutes of walk-ins and kept accepting them. This made them 15 minutes for my appointment which made me 15 minutes late for work. What is the point of making an appointment if they don't respect my time? And why accept so many walk-ins? You know how long it takes per person. Just say NO. Walk-ins can come back another time or phone to make an appointment. On a positive note, phleb was good
