I came here around a year ago because of stomach pain and trouble breathing. It literally felt like my guts were being ripped out, but instead of checking me, just asked me if I wanted Tylenol. Overall, me and my dad waited 6 hours for triage?! This is ridiculous, we had to wait another 4 hours for a doctor. After 12 hours in total, they told me it was constipation and sent me home. Unbelievable. Be ashamed of yourselves.
Nurses and doctors were friendly and efficient. We are very thankful for their quick help.
The person at the door seems to have a lot of power deciding who gets in first. It feels like some people are able to jump ahead in line, even when their condition doesn’t look very serious. I asked what criteria they use to decide who is more urgent, and she said it’s based on the patient’s situation. But when we walked in, she didn’t even ask why we were there or what had happened. I’m not sure how that assessment could be made without asking any questions.
