Sales department is decent. Nice sales people, good trade in values. Fairly respectable. Service department always and I do mean always tries to gouge. Oil changes are $270 which is crazy. They recently had my wife in there and said she had dirty brakes yes her brakes had dust in them ! They asked to take apart and clean her break pads and rotors for $200.. brakes are at 80% but that dust oh boy. and a ritualistic cabin air filter replacement. Every time she goes. My wife took our tacoma SR5 for an oil change to Alberni Toyota. The cost for the oil change was $270. That's right, a $270 oil change. When I went back to the service desk the "lady" when asked why the cost of $270 for an oil change replied in exasperation " as I told your wife" with a annoyed smirk on her face, while sitting. Waited for a warranty part for 6 months. Warranty expired in the meantime and the service department guaranteed I could have a it done at my convince. Unfortunately this had to be done within 5 days which was never communicated and I am responsible for the $2500 coverage. I’m very disappointed with the lack of communication and accountability
Chris Turner genuinly cares about his customers and wants to see you leaving with a smile on your face. Such was my case after leaving the dealership last week after shaking his hand on a deal for my new tacoma. I already knew exactly what I was looking for, but Chris is so knowledgable it was a joy just to talk about the truck and go over little details you might not learn just from looking online. He gives the impression of an elated enthusiast more than a salesman; though he excels at both.
