I was very impressed with my first visit. The inside was very clean and staff greeted us upon entering.My wife was a new resident who had just come over from the UVa Medical Center..Julie provided excellent care to my wife and took extra steps to insure adequate supplies were present to meet her care needs.The other staff in the hallway were very pleasant as well. I am glad we made the decision to bring my wife to Albemarle Health and Rehab Center..
Our family had a very disappointing and stressful experience w/ Albemarle Health, particularly around the discharge planning and with their discharge manager named Jayson Whitehead. It was not only disorganized, but unsafe. We were told things would be ready, including equipment he needed, but on discharge the wheelchair was not there, oxygen was sent to wrong address, and the assisted living home he was transferring to did not receive everything or received incorrect items. My Brother has been a patient there for a few months and he really likes it there. The nurses are very nice and the whole place is very pretty. They have 2 nice rooms to do rehab. I would recommend.
It was very pleasant.
