My father had an appointment with the eye doctor, William Blakemore, at Albemarle Eye Center today 10/5/20. The physician was two hours late and did not offer any explanation or apology. He entered without wearing his mask. When I reminded him that my father is a cancer survivor, and I directly asked him to put on a mask - he did not. He pointed to a shield on a piece of his optical equipment as sufficient protection, however it is unclear when that shield is ever changed or cleaned. Wonderful place to go to get eyes checked. Will bring my granddaughter with me, next time.
