I originally went to Albany Shao-Lin Kempo Dojo for women's self defense classes. I got that and so much more. Taking Karate classes has made me stronger, more disciplined, confident, healthier and I've even lost weight. I've gained a new purpose in life and that is to learn and excel in Karate, strengthening myself mentally and physically with the support and guidance of my instructor and encouragement of my classmates. as far as I can't tell the only negativites coming from people is that there's challenges and rules. as there should be. it's defense training. standards are held it seems. don't let weakness take over the mind. and you'd probably enjoy what they have to offer

I recently took part in a 1.5 hour self defense class and it was fantastic. I learned many techniques and we had plenty of time to practice and to also ask questions. Master Kevin and Chuck were great instructors. Highly recommend!

Great experience with Albany Shao-Lin Kempo. The staff is always courteous and well organized. The dojo is very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!
