One of the good nonprofit organizations in the area. Not part of the school district, but very supportive of the graduating students and teaching staff. Distributes close to 500k in college scholarships and teacher supplies every year, all from private donations. Well done!
The Albany Public Schools Foundation (APSF) is a separate legal entity and is not connected nor does it take direction from the Greater Albany Public Schools board. APSF's sole mission is to support and enhance the education of Albany students via classroom grants, college scholarships, by the providing classroom supplies to individual teachers, at no cost to the teacher, via the Foundation operated teacher supplies warehouse. Please be assured your support goes to this mission alone.
It's a good cause, but I feel so bad for the employees. It's so clear that their board of directors just makes their jobs so much harder than they need to be.
