Great trail but it's a bit creepy for me to hike on here. You are all alone in the middle of the forest. It's like free survival experience lol.
I think these are the coolest trails in the Pinebush because they’re the most unique compared to the rest of the region.
My personal favorite trail of the Pine Bush. Usually very quiet, a ways away from both I-90 and Washington Ave Ext. Quality birding too!
Absolutely love my walks on the sandy trails that go for miles and miles. Good for the calf muscles. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Not a fan of the noise of the traffic that surrounds the beautiful sand dunes preserve, but close by if you live in the Albany area. An absolute must visit. There are multiple trailhead parking areas that allow you to access different areas, all spectacular. Great walking or running year round.
