Repeatedly discharged me to the street for six weeks to deal with concurrent infections of RSV, Ross River, ecoli and adenoid virus. Nearly killed me. The hospital did not diagnose these infections. In one ED visit I was told I had a cold. The other ED visit I was told I was unlucky in response to I have been coughing for six weeks and was discharged to the street. One person wrote into the local paper in disgust at me being discharged to the street by the hospital in that condition, the paper published the letters.

I was seen at Albany Health Campus emergency ward on 6 Oct 2025 by an elderly female doctor, name similar to S. Idani. The doctor made inappropriate personal comments including: “Why don’t you have children?”, “No one in Australia will do a vasectomy or tube tying for you since you are young,” “Since you have PCOS, I don’t think you can have kids,” and laughed while saying, “You guys should remain abstinent if you don’t want kids.” These comments were completely irrelevant to my symptoms of blood in urine and severe abdomen ... read more

Cant recommend more highly. The care and and attention I received was top notch from all staff. Only complaint , the food was terrible. A nurse even phoned a couple of times after I was discharged to make sure I was okay. Well done Albany Hospital staff and thanks for caring.
