One of The best experiences of my life! A great young man with an engaging personalty. Has a passion for his dogs and sport. His animals are well cared . His experiences and history are shared with a mark twain like story telling ability. Well worth the drive and modest expense!!!
Our dog sledding tour with Alaskan Husky Adventures in Willow was easily the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was absolutely unmatched. The team welcomed us warmly, ensured we were comfortable and properly geared up for the weather, and made us feel like family rather than just tourists. Wonderful tour where we learned so much about what goes into preparing for the Iditarod race (for both the dogs and humans). Very informative and fun! Especially if you're a dog lover. We did the summer sled tour. Even though it was drizzling, we had a blast - and you get equipped with waterproof gear so you don't get mud on your clothes. Our guide, Dane, was phenomenal, and the dog team was even better! The pups deserve a raise in extra treats.
A Must-Visit if you travel to the anchorage area! Super fun, great staff! Matt and his team are top notch! Can’t wait to come back again some day and follow them in the Iditarod next March! Thanks for a great day and awesome memories!
