Alaska Ice Field Expeditions in Skagway, Alaska is the BEST thing I have ever done on vacation! We took a helicopter from Skagway to Denver Glacier and met some of the 240 sled dogs they keep over the summer. Our musher was Sonja and she was smart, sweet and a lot of fun. The highlight, of course, were the sled dogs. They love to run and they love getting attention, vigorous petting and praise. The helicopter ride was beautiful. Our guide Dre took wonderful care of us — and introduced us to her pack of pups for a dog sledding adventure to remember! Everything from the smooth helicopter ride there to playtime with the Alaskan huskies to the actual sled ride itself was splendid. It's worth the visit!
Went up from Skagway June 2016 and it was the Best! Ryan was our tour guide. And we LOVED the dogs and the whole experience!
