It was completely worth renting a car for the day and coming here to kayak. Salmon jumping out of the water around us was amazing. Also recommend the brewery across the street after you are done paddling around the bay.
When our cruise excursion got cancelled, we were told to go here and rent a kayak for the afternoon. The team was so KIND and helpful. We got sea kayaks quickly and spent the afternoon on the water. We were so grateful for the opportunity.

Pretty irritated with this place. My cousin was coming to Juneau for a day as a stop on her cruise on August 31st from 2-7. I called three times this month to book their last rental of the day at 3pm. Twice I was told not to worry about booking yet because that day was wide open. I called again the day prior, yesterday, and was told as long as we get there by 2:45, we will be fine. I pick up my cousin, call to tell them we will make it by 2:40, and the lady says, “oh sorry, we are done and no longer renting for the day.” It ... read more
The team was friendly and helpful. The half day was great for exploring the islands offshore. Next time I'll get the full day and try for some views of the mendenhall glacier.
