I always have the best luck with cars from this company. I have rented from them 3 times and their winter rates are very reasonable. It's also very nice to know you will have all wheel drive in the winter. They even have cars with studs. The cars are well maintained but they are also reasonable about minor paint defects. (An almost certainty when driving in Alaska) The counter people are always very nice. This is definitely my preferred car rental company.
For me, this is the best company to rent a car from if you plan to drive on dirt roads. They are located at the airport, so picking up the car is very easy. I had a very good experience communicating with them by email before picking up the car. They always politely answered every “silly” question. The car I received was clean and well prepared for the trip. I would give them 5 stars, but unfortunately I did not get the car I had requested and received confirmation for. We had a poor experience with the Fairbanks branch. They cancelled on us at the last minute, so we ended up paying double somewhere else.
Car was in great condition. I rented truck 1500 which was only allowed on Delton highway. They were very helpful with my request to see vehicle as I had two different cars. Definitely recommend. Book only with 4*4
