This is the one rental car company that was highly recommended through locals (thank you, Reddit!). I initially tried booking through Alaska 4x4's direct website which showed no availability for the dates I was booking (note that I did try a few days before). I then proceed to book through Expedia with NextCar which turned out to be an affiliate of Alaska 4x4, so it all worked out in the end. Eric, your representative was courteous & very helpful. It took a bit of time to find a car with studded snow tires & he was quite patient & helpful despite the time it took. Based on our experience with him we will definitely rent with your company again.
Every time I go in, I've had the same hard working woman behind the desk helping me out. Heather was super helpful and resourceful. I live in Texas and my ex wife moved my kids up to anchorage after 5 years of failing to remove my rights in texas court. Well, it goes without saying that my trips to Alaska are super stressful. Fortunately, my rental car experience has been the easiest part of my travels. They were super accommodating and I'll for sure be back. Thanks Heather, you're a gem.
Fantastic company! Renting a vehicle from Alaska 4x4 could not have been easier. So much better than the other companies that make renting cars miserable. Price was AMAZING. Customer Service AMAZING. Vehicle was PERFECT. We had to transfer and extend our rental at the end of our trip and it was super easy. Do not rent from anyone else when traveling to Alaska!! Thank you Alaska 4x4!!!
