I booked a tour through Royal Caribbean that included the train ride, gold panning, and sled dog demonstration. Klondike Mike was our tour guide and he was phenomenal. He was very informative, engaging, and personable. My only critique, and it's fairly minor, was that the gold panning felt a bit rushed. Overall, it was one of my favorite excursions during my Alaska cruise. Everyone at Alaska 360 was really warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this excursion.
It was a great time, gold panning, and sled dog puppies, who could ask for more?
This was an awesome fun experience and informative. The family and I had a lot of fun doing this. And we got to keep the gold that we found.
