Residents should be careful of this company that bills its customers for dummy security systems that are not monitored properly. My Roxbury home was recently broken into while the system was armed and supposedly monitored by Alarm Central. The system never went off and the company had not received a signal from me since July 2009. Now I am told that the system died and must be upgraded because it is over 10 years old. I wonder if other customers have been treated this way. Needless to say, I am no longer a customer.
