Most sleep doctors are thought of as quacks and simply prescribe a CPAP to everyone they see, Alapat definitely falls into that group. Alapat fat shamed my wife, who has genetic cardiac defects and respiratory illness. He does not show any compassion toward his patients and does not care to make even make an effort. I am also a patient of Alapat and he prescribed me a CPAP machine without even performing a hands on, or even eyes on, exam. Why Baylor College of Medicine continues to employ this man is beyond me.
