Had Luekaemia treatment followed closely by Throat cancer treatment. Completed everything 2 years ago. Im still alive. Much credit to the staff at Allan Walker Cancer center. Im so thankful that we have such a superb facility here in Darwin. Rather than having to live away for treatment. Whoever battled to get this facility built…. Both within the Health Department and the Political arena……my gratitude is euphoric…. Thank You. Everyone. You are amazing.
It's always a wonderful experience when your GP refers you to a specialist (haematology) for a reason and that specialist suggests your symptoms are psychological before conducting any tests, especially when you just finished showing them your bloody handkerchief from a nosebleed on the way to the appointment. I wonder why some people have trouble trusting "medical professionals".
