I must disagree with the previous comments regarding Alan W. Cohen. I have been working with Alan for many months pursuing an unwanted contested divorce. After being "snowballed" by a previous attorney, Alan is providing me with sound advise and is helping to advise me on making life changing choices for myself and my children. Highly unprofessional and not worth the money or time. – As with the previous reviews, Mr. Cohen does not return your phone calls. He also does not research or review your case until right before the trial. He also does not follow through with the initial plan that was discussed moments before the trial and when I hired him at the begining. He forgot several things which I had specifically requested in my case while in trial. I hired him for an uncontested divorce in 2010. You'd do well to avoid this one – As the other reviewer pointed out, Mr. Cohen does not follow the agreed upon plan during the proceedings. He took the liberty to dismiss an action we had previously filed without discussing it with his client (my husband). He does not review any evidence you submit to him until just before trial, and then you have to provide to him again months later because he "doesn't have that". Disappointment – Alan was my divorce lawyer and I am very disapointed by his services because he was not returning my calls for days. Didn't follow the agreed plan of action throughout the proceedings. Didn't take time to review all documents submitted and the final documents filed in court had errors and some forms are even missing. I would not recommend him to anybody
