I had a whining noise from belt area on Highlander 2007. Suspected alternator issue. I called Alan around 10am and he recalled within an hour with replacement costs. He offered a better spec alternator for a minimal additional cost. He fitted me in to the schedule for the afternoon and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Some auto repair businesses have a poor reputation but I would recommend Alan and Son for service, quality and integrity.
I brought my 2004 Saturn Ion to Alan & Son for a transmission oil change back in June 2010. This car has a continuously variable transmission that is sealed (no dipstick) and requires specific steps and parts when servicing. In the past, I have usually brought my car to a Saturn dealer for service beyond the routine oil change. When GM discontinued its Saturn line, I knew I would soon need a new reliable shop for my car.
