Having had Dr Powell as a pediatrician myself the decision was easy once I had children. We too moved out of state twice--a 1000 miles away-- and tried other pediatricians but often found ourselves returning to KC just to see Dr. Powell. The night before Christmas Eve he found room for us, even though we were not regular patients (living in NC at the time). For the past 15 years Weve depended on Dr. Powell (aka Dr. Papa) for the well being of our four children. Living in other states we would still come home if possible because there just isnt anyone else like him. And we tried MANY. Poor saps had a lot to live up to and didnt even know it. Dr. Powell goes above and beyond. God has blessed us with a great friend and outstanding caregiver. Thank you Dr. Papa for years of making us feel better and easing our fears and pains. You are a gift that we thank God for everyday.
Dr. Powell was my 2 childrens doctor for their pediatric years. He was always professional and caring. My children never wanted to see anyone else, and I agreed with them. He is very skilled at his profession and has a great rapport with the kids. A great doctor requires a great bedside manner, and Dr. Powell excels at this. Dr. Powell is an amazing doctor. I would recommend him to anyone. He is very knowledgable because he has been practicing for so long and is wonderfull with the children. I think the nurses are very nice and a super clean new office.
