worst experience ever!!! I called ahead to see if the bought items they said they did when i went to go sell them, the lady was extremely rude to me. And then said nothing of what I have is selling and said she does not make offers on things that i had to give her the price but that none of this is selling. If she did not want my business all she had to do was say.
Holy flying rip-off, Batman!!! – A very interesting place that spent enough on advertising that my fiance decided we needed to visit while on vacation in San Antonio recently. I noticed the prices, then I noticed that they were a little high, then I realized I would have been price gouged if I bought anything here! As a veteran the, military stuff was in sad shape and was above the actual cost on most items that would be serviceable. Rob Zombie is not near anitque enough for display, and the ventalation in the third story wa... read more
Awesome! – The first time I went to this store, it was my first date with my now husband. He knew how much I loved looking for antique's. He lived downtown at the time so we walked over to the place, and when I walked in, I was amazed at how filled and big this place was held. We spent at least two to three hours in the place, just having the best time together. I will never forget this place, I am so th... read more
Lovely place, great memories! – In September of 07 I was in downtown San Antonio for a wedding and happened to wander through this wonderful place. I saw a stunning old picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe that I thought I couldn't afford to splurge on at the time. In December, I had second thoughts and called them and it had been sold and returned and was even reduced in price. So i thought it must be meant for me. They worked with me to reserve it till I could get it back to Houston (which turned out to be quite an adventure... read more
Pristine to primitive antiques in an aesthetically pleasing environment. – Behind Locked Doors The Alamo Antique Mall, in three floors of the historic Paul Anderson building, deals in quality, which is reflected in the goods and their prices. The first floor is filled with dishes, jewelry, and glass items, much of which is locked away in glass cases. Fortunately, the helpful staff is quick to unlock the doors, exposing a bevy of colorful pieces. Anyone with an eye for the Roadshow will thrill at the art glass and mission pot... read more
