I had a very small move that had to be stored for 10 days. The storage space was not climate controlled and had rodents. Two of my boxes sat in water in storage long enough for my linens to mold. I had boxes delivered opened and gone through. I had missing items sold on eBay before they delivered my belongings. Never offered insurance so my loss is my loss.
