This is a family owned and operated restaurant serving up tasty food with pleasant service. I ordered takeout, but, upon entry, wished that I had opted to dine in. It's such a cute place. I had the rotisserie gyro which was very good. If you're new to Mediterranean cuisine, this is a safe choice. This was my first time at Petras and it did not disappoint. Since moving here from Cleveland, Ohio I’ve craved a good gyro. First, this little family owned business is quaint and cozy in downtown New Albany right off the river. They have a small, comfortable dine in area as well as an outdoor patio w bistro tables. This restaurant is definitely designed more for takeout than dine-in. The atmosphere was quiet with little distraction. There is a nice outdoor dining area if the weather is nice. Parking is rough because it’s not actually connected to the restaurant. I was not charged for parking but I am not completely sure I was in a free lot. The food that we had here was ok. We had the best gyro ever! The French fries were hot 🔥 and Crispy. The gyro was stuffed full and the pita was soft. You betcha, the best service too. we will return, but we live about 60 miles away. Thank you for the great meal!
The food was delicious Turkish coffee presented so nicely and the beef curry bowl was delicious. Loved their little store on the side too! Also the family who runs it is so very sweet 🫶🏻
