had water in my hydraulic pump and was told that it needed to be completely taken apart including the ram cylinders to lift and lower the outdrive. I was then told that the cylinders needed to be rebuilt and Al wanted to charge me $750 to rebuild them. It is an 18 year old boat. I bought two new cylinders on e-bay for $160. Was charged $255 for travel time. Each part including cylinder sleeves were charged at twice the rate I could buy them on line.
