We spent 10 beautiful relaxing days at Akuna with the delightful Linda. The accommodation was luxurious and beautiful. The view of the Hastings River was spectacular and everchanging. We saw river traffic, the ferry, the Island Trader going to and from Lord Howe Island and to top it off a pod of dolphins swam by while we were relaxing in the garden by the river. Wish we could give more than 5 stars. Had an absolutely amazing time. Linda's hospitality was no lesser than a 5 star resort and we really enjoyed the 2 nights we were there. She even went out of her way to make the stay even more special as it was my fiancé's birthday. We could go back just for the food, it was that good. Linda we both wish you the very best, you are such an amazing soul and you've done such an amazing job with the place. We'll definitely come back soon.
We stayed for 1 night . Linda is not only a fabulous host but also a very very good chef. We had a splendid dinner with a perfect wine selection. Most beautiful quiet location on the river front with spectacular sunsets . The interior meets the highest requirements - awesome design. Very cosy feel. Looks like new. We highly recommend this little boutique hotel.
The property is stunningly decorated. The ambiance and vibe a soothing getaway. The additional touches, with chef Linda included a sublime Thai dinner and gourmet breakfast which was a real surprise. Spoil yourself it’s worth it. You have your own entertainment room with pool table just near colourful pelicans on the waters edge. Heaven on earth!
Lovely riverside boutique hotel. The place is situated in a quiet area with direct, private access to a calm river area where you can take a dip. The decor is beautiful, with a modern yet cosy, beachy but undoubtedly luxurious, vibe. Linda, the owner and host, really makes the stay special with beautiful food and a warm demeanor. Would 100% return and would 100% recommend.
