I only have good things to say about AK's. To start with, he is extremely good about keeping up communication. I think this is something every customer values highly but rarely gets in a mechanic. I had to get the drain plug bolt hole on my bike rethreaded, and several shops turned me down because it is an involved and slightly risky job. I was astounded by how few repair shops there were in the area, and the biggest ones seem to leverage this because they way overcharge for easy labor. When I stumbled upon AK's shop by chance, I was very impressed by the professionalism and speed of work performed. Even more glad to find someone who will work on a Honda with a DCT (CTX700)! Was back on the road within a day; it was raining at the time, but they even went the extra mile to do the break-in prep on my new tires for better traction in wet conditions. Assured me they could work on my bike but then when the time came (5 weeks after I dropped it off) I was told how they aren’t big fans of working on the type of bike I have (Honda shadow) which I understand but would have really appreciated if they told me that prior to bringing it in I would have gladly went somewhere else. Definitely felt like a dishonest mechanic in my personal opinion but I hope others have a better experience.
