My daughter woke up with a fever of 102.2, a terrible sore throat, mucous, and she's losing her voice etc. They tested for strep throat and that was it! They also did not listen to her lungs or check her ears! I feel like Akron Children's is pointless. They also told me that since the strep test was negative, they couldn't give us a school excuse just incase she gets a high fever again through the night. You can never EVER get an appointment same day when needed! My son had strep throat and when I called to have him seen the lady who answered the phone was RUDE from the start I guess she was upset she had to answer the phone. She exhailed loudly as she answered the phone asked me how she could help me I told her I needed to make an appointment for my son she said well we don't any available since its a half day.
