I had a great experience getting my hair done by Akilma. She made sure the color was exactly what I wanted. I showed her some pictures, and she understood right away! My hair turned out so good! I would definitely recommend her. :)

I had my haircut done by Aklima, who presents herself as a “master hairstylist” and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing and upsetting experiences I’ve ever had. I sat in her chair with full trust, but after 40 minutes, I was left with a complete disaster. The cut was uneven, unblended, and lacked any sense of technique or care. Went for a haircut today and recieved a wonderful hair cut. I have very thick hair so its not the easiest but the hair stylist Aklima did a great job. Asked a lot of questions and gave me options.

I did keratin twice from here. I wasn’t satisfied with my last hair cut. I wanted a straight cut but it wasn’t straight at all. Looks very disappointing. The keratin didn’t last for one month.The service wasn’t worth the money I paid.

I’m writing to share a very serious and disappointing experience I had at Aklima Salon and Spa (122 W Broadway, Vancouver) on May 21, 2025. I went in for a balayage service, using a reference photo from their own Instagram page to clearly communicate the look I wanted. Unfortunately, the result was extremely damaging. My hair was burned, discolored, broken, and I also sustained cuts and a burn scar on my skin. I have photos and documentation of the damage.
