If you want chicken, the bowl will be 50 cents cheaper as of writing this, everything will actually be seasoned, and you’re gonna have supported my favorite Turkish takeout spot in the DMV. Mediterranean bowls need Asian influence to be palatable, and Akivva grill does just that.
*I am updating my review because the last couple times we’ve been here, we’ve been disappointed. I agree with other reviewers that the service has gone downhill - no friendliness, no smiles, just an unwelcoming feeling that I am being a burden of a customer. Also, there are all these new charges on the bill including a transaction fee - I feel that their food is already overpriced but these extra fees make it worse. I highly recommend this restaurant—everyone should give it a try! The food was absolutely delicious. I tried the beef shawarma, and it was amazing. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The cashier was especially kind, polite, and very helpful. Once again, I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
