The food? Absolutely delicious! 🍜🍣 We’d happily come back for that alone. The only hiccup was the service. My 13-year-old son ordered chicken ramen and asked for the chicken on the side. Somehow, that simple request turned into an extra $10 charge for additional chicken. When we asked about it, we were told it couldn’t be changed because the kitchen had already started cooking. I don’t normally leave reviews but Akira sushi & ramen was so outstanding to me that it’s worth to take my time to leave my thoughts. I am in Charlottesville only for 2 days and my first night here I am so glad I found this place online and decided to come in a solo date. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, very helpful and patient as well when I had to make a decision for my order. Food was ok and service is good but portions are very small. I spent 60 feeding my 13 yo and he’s not exactly a big kid.
