Come here if you want sushi and food that will make you go wow. One of the rolls had kangaroo meat, so be sure to ask if exotic meats are available. Great service btw

What happened to Akira?! This place has been one of our favorites in Eugene since opening. Last night’s birthday dinner for my wife was beyond disappointing. Brusk and anxious service from everyone we had contact with. We asked 2 staff to help us take a photo of the occasion anyway and the response from both was the same: “it will be a while” and then they never came back. I understand the local food service industry is suffering but…we couldn’t wait to leave and won’t go back again.
Tonight chef Taro prepared for us house made kampyo (simmered seaweed) maki, big eye (aku), blue fun (maguro), and skipjack (kanpachi) tuna, yellowtail (hamachi), scallop (hotate), surf and turf (steak and shrimp), and an amazing dry aged maguro nigiri sashimi. Arigato, chef! The mixed drinks are well balanced and tasty. We are so glad we came back after our first visit on an evening when a substitute manned the sushi bar. Our experience this evening far outweighed our first time and we will definitely return.
