I’ve been going here to get my nails done religiously and each time I had great artists until today. I literally travel an hour one way to just get to Akiko every month! And recommended them to many of my friends. Although we pivoted from the original photo, the results were just horrid. I came back with such terrible nails!!! They look like I bruised each finger! A friend of mine, whose nails are always amazing, recommended Akiko Nails for my wedding set. I emailed through their site ahead of time with designs and a request for a trial set and day-of set. - Only booked me a day-of set. Thought, "Trust em." - Nail tech didn't know what we were doing when I got there. I'd sent details and expectations bc I knew I wanted lots of glitter and gems and didn't want to spring a high-effort design on them. Not worth it for the money. I got a beautiful hard gel mani & gel pedi done before my vacation, and while they looked great, they did not last. The first nail to go was my left pinky, which started lifting after a week. It's been just over two weeks and now seven out of ten nails have lifted and I've been gluing several of them back on for the past week or so. Very bad experience and don’t recommend to anyone. Booked on their website, afterwards received a confirmation email requesting my bank information, added my credit card and appeard on the screen : approved, reservation confirmed. I went to the place on the time booked and a very rude person says they don’t have a booking, and that if I wanted after all of this I needed to email them back to triple check and confirm.
